Super excited to share this press release with you!
Poolbeg’s crime imprint Poolbeg Crimson has acquired a quirky crime series by Meath writer and murder mystery creator Fiona Sherlock, hailed as the Irish
Lucy Foley. The first in the series, ‘PRESERVED’, will be published in March 2021. Led by
old-fashioned antiques journalist January Quail, the murder mystery takes place across
Ireland’s Ancient East.
Paula Campbell, Publisher, Poolbeg Press said: “We are thrilled to add a Sherlock to our list at Poolbeg Crimson. PRESERVED is set to be an instant cult hit with crime fans and readers who live for quirky characters, driven by a fast-paced plot. With the world in turmoil, a good murder mystery is a perfect escape.”
Former journalist and PR executive, 31-year-old Sherlock said of the deal: “I’m delighted to be joining Poolbeg, the calibre of writers and the experience of the team is unrivalled. It is the ideal place to launch Preserved and January Quail. It means so much to have a
publisher believe in my story and see a place for it in bookshelves around the country.”
The deal was brokered by Lina Langlee at Kate Nash Literary Agency.
